Reversible Mini Floating Shelves for Two Different Book Displays

Mount each shelf to support a horizontal stack of books, or reverse it to hold suitably sized books upright with their covers facing forward. At only 4.7 × 4.7 inches, these are the smallest shelves in the TEEbooks collection, making them a practical choice for compact book displays.

Keep a Small Reading Collection on Display Without a Bookcase

For horizontal stacking, each shelf provides a discreet base for approximately 15 mass-market paperbacks or 7–8 larger paperback novels, depending on book size and weight.

The two-shelf set lets you organize separate stacks in different areas of a room. You might position one near a reading chair and the other beside a desk, keeping selected books easy to reach without occupying a tabletop.

When mounted in the opposite orientation, the raised front edge helps hold appropriately sized books upright, allowing you to highlight a favorite cover instead of displaying a stack of spines.

Minimalist White Steel That Creates an Almost Invisible Shelf Effect

The shelves are made from FE DC01 steel with a white epoxy finish. Their compact structure is designed to stay visually unobtrusive, especially when hidden beneath a horizontal stack of books.

Once books are placed on top, the shelf becomes difficult to see, producing the appearance of a floating pile attached directly to the wall. In the upright orientation, the small front lip helps retain the displayed books.

The white finish works particularly well against light-colored walls, letting the books supply the color and character of the arrangement.

The recommended load is up to 15.4 lb (7 kg) per shelf on a solid wall with appropriate mounting hardware. The included screws and wall anchors are intended for solid walls. For installation on drywall, use anchors compatible with the wall construction and suitable for the intended load. In this case, we recommend keeping the load lighter than on a solid wall.
